Project overview
A new commercial facility has been implemented in Sweden—a modern warehouse with auto service premises. In this type of building, it is especially important to ensure a stable indoor temperature, efficient heating of large spaces, and an uninterrupted supply of hot water for daily service and staff needs.
Situation and challenge
The newly constructed commercial site required a reliable, autonomous, and cost-efficient heating and domestic hot water solution that adapts to Nordic climate conditions. The large storage and service areas demand flexible power control, while uninterrupted hot water production is essential for daily operations.
Solution
An advanced geothermal heating system using 2 units was installed in the building. IGLU ALEUT 16 heat pumps.
- Cascaded control and flexibility: Two 16 kW units operate in cascade, so the total system capacity reaches 32 kW. The system automatically adjusts its output to the building’s actual heating demand—when demand is lower, one unit operates; as the load increases, the second unit turns on.
- Dual function: The heat pumps fully provide both space heating and domestic hot water production.
- Top-level partnership: The design, supply, and installation were carried out by a professional team of partners A.M.O Klimatteknik AB, ensuring smooth integration of the engineering systems.

A cascaded two-unit solution provides additional security: even when one pump is undergoing preventive maintenance, the other unit continues to supply heat.
